Le Bung’allo, Fontvieille
Fontvieille is known for the Moulin de Daudet (Lettres de Mon Moulin amongst others) and is also very well situated for Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Arles and the Camargue. Nîmes and Marseille airports are less than an hour away, and it takes only 25 minutes to reach the TGV station in Avignon.
Tourist attractions are myriad, Les Baux de Provence and its golf course just 10 minutes away, St. Rémy and its Roman ruins at Glanum, and for those who prefer wide open spaces, there is the Camargue, wild and wonderful – horse riding is a must! The little town of ste. Maries de la Mer (45 km) has a wonderful wide and long beach, restaurants galore – with two right on the beach !
Bull fighting in historical Arles, antique shopping in Isle sur la Sorgue on Sundays, tennis and petanque in the village, with many local fêtes, such as the running of the bulls through the streets. Finally at the end of a busy day there is “le Bung’allo” for a sundowner by the pool – what more could anyone want?!
The village of Fontvieille: gateway to La Vallée des Baux
The massif of the Alpilles stretches for miles covered in pine forest and guarrigue provides access to all the marvellous places of Provence. The proximity of the medieval village of The Baux de Provence, ancient Saint Rémy, roman Arles, all encourage trekking and give Fontvieille and the Alpilles, one of their most beautiful pages of history.
Fontvieille lives according to the rhythms of provencal customs: parades in traditional costumes, camarguaise bull-runs, village fairs, celebration days of Daudet's children, exhibitions, art exhibitions, and other events, take place all year. Fontvieille welcomes visitors throughout the year where they find a network of restaurants, hotels and other facilities run by professionals.

Le « Bung’allo » is situated in Fontvieille, which is in the heart of Provence, in a quiet cul-de-sac, but only a five minute walk to fetch the bread in the morning, or wander up for your “apero” in the evening.
Large sitting room /dining room with French windows to patio, excellent for breakfast. Two sofas, 1 armchair and coffee table in the sitting room area, plus TV with French satellite (including BBC World, CNN and Eurosport ) Table, sideboard and six chairs in dining room area, plus high chair.
Fully-equipped kitchen with cooker (gas and electric) electric oven, microwave, large fridge-freezer, drip coffee machine and toaster. Well stocked with plates, cutlery, pots, pans and glassware.
Two bathrooms, one with toilet and shower, washing machine and drier, the other with bath/shower and bidet, plus a separate toilet.
Three double bedrooms, two with double bed and one with two single beds. Mezzanine in bedroom with single beds, all recently refurbished.
At the back of the house the “pièce de resistance” a 7 x 4 m swimming pool, with a large summer kitchen incorporating a BBQ, fridge, sink, as well as two gas rings, so you can cook the vegetables whilst barbequeing the meat! Plenty of shade for those who wish and all surrounded by a high hedge for privacy. The garden continues around the house, with a quiet restful area under the olive trees. Sunbeds, cushions, parasols all available, with large wooden table and six chairs for outdoor eating.
